Professional and Business Writers

Whether you want to write more effective emails, press releases, or annual reports, a writing coach can help you improve your communication in the workplace.

Businesses and organizations have their own expectations about what makes “good” writing. Frequently, learning to successfully communicate in that context requires learning and applying those, often unspoken, rules. Rather than giving you the one-size-fits-all approach of a writing course or guide, I can work with you to determine the most effective strategies for your unique situation.

Academic Writers

Whether you’re a graduate student with an overworked advisor or a tenured professor struggling to find time for your own work, writing coaching can help you find the time and motivation to produce the high-caliber work expected of academics.

As a PhD, professor, and editor of a peer-reviewed journal, I understand the pressures and conventions that pervade academic writing.

Public Writers

Is it a personal or professional ambition for you to put your voice out into the world? Do you want to contribute to public conversations on topics you are a passionate expert about?

Writing coaching can help you develop your voice, consider the way audience and purpose should shape your writing, and navigate the trials of freelance publishing.

Experience working with writers across academic disciplines, professional spheres, and public venues gives me the flexibility to help you whatever your interests.
